Ahaura Helicopters was established by owner/operators Simon and Debbie Lawn in 1994 and have provided professional helicopter services to the West Coast and throughout the South Island since.
Our base is in Ahaura, 35km North East of Greymouth, West Coast on State Highway 7 heading towards Reefton. 1km east of Ahaura township.
We operate two helicopters – a Robinson R44 Clipper 2, and a R22 Beta 2 – both helicopters are fully GPS equipped.
Both pilots are very experienced in all aspects of flying with a combined flying time of over 15,000 hours and 28 years of flying all over the South Island.

Simon Lawn – Chief Pilot
Simon began his flying career on the West Coast in 1993 and still enjoys providing professional helicopter services throughout the South Island.
Heath Bagnall – Pilot
Heath became involved with helicopters through Simon in the late 90's. He started full time work with the company in 2004, and then started commercially flying in 2007. Now Heath covers all aspects of the helicopter services provided.
